Adolf Noise aka Monaco Schranze aka Swahimi aka Dj Koze aka Stefan Kozella was born and raised 1972 in Flensburg, Germany.
After he moved to Hamburg in the early 90’s he founded his first HipHop group called “Fischmob“.
As time drew on Stefan faced up with electronic music and got more and more famous as Dj. Together with Erobique and Cosmic Dj he started his second project called “International Pony“. Till 2003, Dj Koze released many tracks and albums amongst others on the labels Kompakt, Get Physical or Circus Company. He already got his own record label called “Pampa Records“. I saw him unfortunately only once in 2008 but i hope to see him anytime again.
For me Dj Koze is the best electronic Dj from Germany for the last 20 years. His music belongs from HipHop till Techno and his experimental projects are still excellent and unbeaten. By the way “Koze” -> “Ko(t)ze” is the German word for vomit. Cheers.

Tomorrow, on the 20th of October, the new film from Pedro Almodóvar is running in german theaters.
Starring with Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya is this drama/thriller definitely a must.
The new work from spain’s star director seems to be interesting.
The trailer convinced me to watch this movie.
Watch the trailer! Cheers

Mathematic is the language of nature.
With a mix of breakcore and drum’n’base introduce you the title sequence into the first feature film from Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler). The Film is shown in black&white and seems to be an underground hit. The director wanted to make a movie about god, math and badass jews. I am sure that this move inspirited films like Enter the Void. Another topics of this psychological thriller are drugs and psychology. The Film is about Max, a genius mathematician, who tries to decipher the numeric system till the whole world came crashing down around his ears. This film is stunning.
Check it out!
Director: Darren Aronofsky
Actors: Sean Gullette, Mark Margolis
Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Running Time: 84 Min
Some special Advice!
Two weeks ago I went to an event @ Festsaal Kreuzberg called J.A.W
They are organizing music events and in this way supporting any music&musician that inspires them.
So this event was kind of devoted to the world known musician Gil Scott Heron (R.I.P). The guys from J.A.W brought us Theo Parrish & Sadar Bahar from america.
I know Theo Parrish and it is very special to see him in Berlin. The party was the best i have been to this year in Berlin. Nice crowd, good sound, very very good acts and an unsurpassable atmosphere! I am really happy to know about the J.A.W parties and can proudly recommend them to everybody!

American new school HipHop
Of course, of course
Nothing better than A Tribe Called Quest, Grandmaster Flash,
LL Cool J, Nas, Wu Tang Clan, Guru or Mos Def
but currently the new school HipHop scene will blow your mind. With OFWGKTA, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa the scene had won some new special talents.
Okay Jay-Z, 50 cent and Lil Wayne still sucks (in my opinion) but for all that these new talents are apart from it.
They open new doors for other artists. And I think they key to get a famous HipHop star is: To smoke as much weed as possible being cool and making your own thing.
Fuck yeah. By the way, OFWGKTA means Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. Taste the flow underneath!
On datpiff you can download for free some good Mixtapes for free:

Börek – Graffiti Artist
Where is my Blackbook?
The person who calls himself “Börek” is a graffiti writer.
When you walk through Berlin-Kreuzberg it’s impossible to miss his beautiful characters.
He started painting in 2003 and is still active today. His style ranges between typical graffiti bombing with cans and street art where you use stickers, poster and installations.
Börek worked with famous crews like 1UP and KHC together. The name of his crew is “Yo!”. I introduced to you Börek, because his characters, artworks and bombings influenced my opinion and my perception for graffiti art in a particular way. Today all the letters and bombings chasing me like crazy. Bomb your city!

Berlin Underground HipHop 1997-2003
After the commercialization of the Hip Hop movement in America, the Rap & Hip Hop subculture accrues in Germany in the early 80’s.
As in the 90’s the HipHop movement in Germany became popular, Berlin still stayed underground. Anyway Berlin is different from Germany. The scene in Berlin is inspired by “gangsta rap” from America. Soon the battle rap established in Berlin. More and more crews & labels originated, the best-known crews, groups & labels are: Masters of Rap (MOR), Die Sekte, Westberlin Maskulin, Beatfabrik, Royal Bunker, Bassboxxx, Berlin Crime and many more. Is there any more to it?
Yes, the subculture still exists today and it goes on with flows, battleraps, beats, punch lines, crews, graffiti and love to rhyme and rhythm.
For my audience I added a short list of some of the best LP’s & EP’s of the Berlin HipHop culture from 1997 till 2003.
You can download them in the world-wide web if you can bear it with searching. Maybe Youtube is the better way.
