The christmas days won’t be long in coming but here in berlin the snow is a long time coming. But one way or another this is the time to stay at home with your family and friends, have a nice dinner and watching movies together. For this cold and dark season I’ve got the right movie for you. A horror classic. Stanley Kubrick’s “Shining”. I love this film. I am not a fan of horror films particularly those from today but the novel from Stephen King implemented by Stanley Kubrick will blow your fucking mind.
Watch it, if you haven’t already done so.
Plot: A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

Inspirated by Zako Heskija’s tragedy “Yo ho ho” (1981), Tarsem Singh shows us a unbeliveble epic story with strong and powerful images, elaborate dialogues and gorgeous locations. The opening title (see the video below) is accompany with music by the legendary seventh symphony of Beethoven. I think this is a film which you have to see twice or more to understand the messages and enjoy the images. I recommend the movie to the ones of you, who are interested in epic story about a group of different heroes, a story about revenge, about love. Enjoy.
Plot: In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastical story about 5 mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances.

Fall has come,

Today i recommend Martin Scorseses masterpiece: Taxi Driver, to you.
This movie will blow your mind! The Soundtrack by Bernard Herrmann creates tension and a sweeping atmosphere.
You finally will feel like hanging around at jazz clubs in the 70’s.
Also the story is brilliant and Robert De Niro is playing his best role ever!
This Film ist a must do!
A Quote by Travis Bickle:
“Listen, you fuckers, you screwheads. Here is a man who would not take it anymore. A man who stood up against the scum, the cunts, the dogs, the filth, the shit. Here is a man who stood up”

This is the recent work from the french shocking director Gasper Noé. The story is set in the neon-lights environments of Tokyo and is mainly about near death experience and the drug DMT. The cinematography is one of the best I’ve ever seen. This epic tragedy is probably not for the faint-hearted. This isn’t just a movie, it’s a masterpiece. The actors playing well, the set is perfect, the music breathtaking and the images stunning. Only the running time is probably with 3 hours a bit to long.
Enter the Void is a must see for everyone who is over 18, likes the style of Gasper Noé or Harmony Korine, drugs, the maya-cult, goa music and Tokyo.
